Job Overview: The Procurement Database Specialist will oversee and maintain all vendor related pricing for all current and new Markets in a pricing history database. Responsibilities and Duties: • Analytical and computer skills to ensure pricing adjustments are executed throughout the organization • Manage total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to market conditions • Track Market trends and keep prices current • Oversee the pricing creation and evaluation process to ensure consistency • Create one (1) database from existing pricing information from various departments that will allow for an easy look-up function based on the needs of the internal departments • Update material list as it relates to the organization’s Budgets by Market and Home Depot Pricing/SKUs • Establish and maintain standards and controls • Maintain database by performing updates and troubleshooting problems • Ensure data integrity/quality • Prepare and present reports as needed • Document database progress • Develop data entry protocols Skills, Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator • Knowledge of data security and database technology • Technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct analysis and make recommendations • Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors in a clear and concise manner • Experience analyzing, manipulating, and presenting data with EXCEL or other software • Working knowledge of Office 365 (Outlook, WORD and Advanced EXCEL)
